GetResponse
It’s incredible how GetResponse was able to create such a comprehensive platform while still remaining easy to navigate. On top of providing all the necessary tools to run successful email campaigns, it comes with built-in ecommerce, sales funnels, social media management, a webinar platform, and more. Basically, it’s an all-in-one program that allows you to manage most of your marketing efforts in one place.
Unlike other competitors, GetResponse didn’t simplify its email marketing tools in favor of those extra features. As a result, it has one of the best marketing automation capabilities on the market, which comes with over 40 pre-built templates and provides more than 1,000 customizable newsletter designs. It’s also effortless to segment contacts with this platform, and you can run A/B tests with five unique subject lines of the same message. Unfortunately, the same functionality isn’t available for different content.
The best part is that GetResponse is pretty affordable due to its longer billing cycle options. For as little as $10.50 per month, you can have access to all the features discussed above (except the webinar platform), have up to 1,000 subscribers, and send unlimited emails. For $34.30, you get a plan built for small businesses that provides access to three users and allows multiple automated workflows and sales funnels to run simultaneously. Finally, to get access to the webinar platform and unlimited access to all features a Professional plan is necessary, costing $69.30 per month.
AWeber
There’s plenty to love about AWeber. Although the platform doesn’t provide an all-in-one service like GetResponse, you can do everything with this software due to its integration with over 1,000 third-party apps. This also means that AWeber focuses more on its email marketing features, which translates into one of the most comprehensive platforms available.
Segmenting your contact list is a must when running email campaigns. AWeber allows you to do this based on both demographic and activity factors, there’ also the option to add custom tags to subscribers. This way, sending your content to the right inboxes is effortless. Moreover, it’s also easy to set up automated messages to send at the right moments. In addition to automatic transactional emails, AWeber allows you to come up with an extensive array of emails to be sent depending on multiple factors set up by you.
Another essential aspect of a successful email campaign is an eye-catching design. For that, AWeber provides more than 700 customizable templates for you to come up with a nice-looking message in a matter of minutes. Creating emails from scratch is also possible, as AWeber supports an intuitive drag-and-drop builder and HTML coding.
The company sets its pricing strategy based on the number of subscribers. This means that you get all features right off the bat. The entry subscription supports up to 500 subscribers and costs $16.17 per month with annual payments. There’s also a 30-day free trial you can take advantage of to test the platform for yourself.
Conclusion
One thing is clear: regardless of the platform you opt for, you’ll be in good hands. Both GetResponse and AWeber provide some of the best email marketing services in the industry. They offer extensive email marketing features, various templates for both newsletters and landing pages, intuitive drag-and-drop builders, and then some. The major difference between the two is that GetResponse provides various built-in tools that go beyond email marketing while AWeber does not. In other words, if you use GetResponse, you won’t need other accounts to manage different fronts of your marketing strategy, such as social media, webinars, and more. On the other hand, AWeber provides third-party integrations for all types of apps, but you’ll still need an account with these services and probably have to pay a separate subscription. Fortunately, both companies provide a 30-day free trial that you can use to test all features and see which one works best for you.

You need to take a closer look before you conclude that getrespose is less expensive, that only happens the first month, check the price for hosting 2500 subscribers. Aweber does that for just $10 while getresponse charges a whooping $25. Take another look bro, getresponse is far more expensive to use. I am moving my list to aweber
